Chapter 1.4- Iv got a friend in you...

I ran as far away as I possibly could from that dreadful scene. I no longer felt like me. I felt like a former person of myself. My heart was broken into thousands of millions of tiny pieces and the only one who could put them back together again was him. I fell to the ground and sobbed. I sobbed so hard, harder than I knew I could. 

I felt a hand on my shoulder but I didn’t move I just curled up into a ball and rocked helplessly back and forth. I felt myself being lifted but I still did nothing, not even caring what happened to me now because life without him, I realize now, is no life at all. 

It wasn't long before everything blacked out.

I awoke in a daze with a headache and crustiness in my eyes. I tried helplessly to wipe it away when I remembered what had happened the night before and sank back into bed in depression. Wait…BED!? I don’t own a bed! I shot up fear wining out over sadness and looked around. Everything was..yellow and white. I frowned and tried to think through the haze. What kind of person would have a yellow and white house? That would have to be a…BERRY.

As if on cue, in walked a yellow berry. He smiled at me and sat in the chair beside the bed.

“How are you feeling?” he asked me but I just stared at him. 

He raised his eyebrows questioningly.

I finally got up the courage to answer him “Not to good,  I have a pounding headache and I just woke up in a strange man’s house…” My voice sounded tired and raspy, maybe even defeated. 

He chuckled and answered “Well me and my Fiancé Silhouette are just here on vacation and we found you on the side of the road sobbing and we decided to pull over and help. I’m Candlelight by the way.”

I raised an eyebrow “Thanks but...uhhh this isn’t the best place to go on vacation if you’re a berry.”

His eyes darkened and he said “oh yea….we figured that out.”
I looked around awkwardly and asked "So, wheres Silhouette?". He replied "Shes out shopping for some food" i nodded

I stood up slowly and stretched yawning. 

“Hey what time is it?” I asked. He looked at his watch

“Its about quarter to five” he said

“WHAT!? Oh god, I missed work. Im going to lose my job” I closed my eyes as the tears threatened to spill over again. Candlelight patted my back and said “How about me you and Silhouette go out for dinner tonight?” I smiled and said “Ok…but um, its ok if you don’t wanna be seen with me.” I pointed to my ill-fitting clothing “Im not in the best money situation right now”

He shook his head “That doesn’t bother us. We're already looked down upon by all of Bridgeport so whats the worst that could happen?”

It turns out Silhouette could not go because she had scheduled a doctors appointment….something about having the stomach flu i think it was. She was generous enough to give me a pair of her clothes since she said she had enough. I thanked her with a big hug “Thank you, so much!” She gave me a big smile “Don’t mention it”

So at 6:00 Candlelight and I went out to dinner at the only diner in town that allowed berries.

“So, what’s your story?” He asked me 

I shook my head and said “Who said I have to tell? I’m not that open to strangers you know” 

He thought for a minute and said “Would you tell me if we were friend?”

I thought about it for a bit and answered “Possibly”

“Well, you and silhouette seemed to hit it of, pretend like your talking to her!” I rolled my eyes and laughed

“You really wanna now don’t you?”

He nodded and sat back expecting me to cave, and I did. I told him my whole tale, about my family,  me living in the forest and finally about my break up with Eric. When I was done he looked at me sympathetically and gave me a pat on the shoulder. “Well Silhouette and I will be here in Bridgeport for about a week so if you need anything, you can call us. Consider us your...family” He smiled and gave me a hug goodnight. It felt good to have friends, something that I never had growing up.

ERICS POV

I had been standing behind the tree the whole time and I saw all of it. How could she forget me this quickly! Maybe she’s been seeing this son of a berry the whole time we were together!
I balled up my fists in anger and  looked back over at them just in time to see them hugging, that’s when something snapped inside of me.

 I stalked over to Jazmine and the dirt bag that dared be seen in public. This was it, I was going to get my revenge and I was going to get it tonight.


UGHHHHHH. My game would not download Silhouette. It was so frustrating! I really wanted her with Candlelight but i guess my game didn't :$ Anywayyyy Candlelight And silhouette are from the amazing rainbowacy/musicacy Until My Color Fades by NightlockFallen :)
